Ayurveda, sister science to Yoga, is an ancient system of healing which originated 5000 years ago in India. In Sanskrit `Ayu´ means life and `Veda´ means knowledge, so Ayurveda is often referred to as the `science of life´. As per Ayurveda everything on this planet, including our bodies, consists of five elements: fire, water, earth, air, and space. Ayurveda believes that every individual is a unique combination of these five elements and imbalance of these elements cause the diseases or disorders.
Ayurvedic treatment aims at balancing these elements (or Dosha) to neutralize the disease process. Opposite of western medicine, which treats manifestations of disease, Ayurveda assess directly to the root cause of all diseases.

Initial Ayurveda Consultation:
Duration: 75 minutes
During your initial consultation, Arpita will assess your unique constitution (prakriti) and tendencies toward imbalances (vikriti), Conduct a detailed assessment and offer educational suggestions tailored to your unique constitution and current concerns.
This consultation includes:
- Finding your Dosha
- Pulse and tongue analysis
- Individualized dietary information
- Lifestyle recommendation to establish daily routine to find mind-body-spirit balance
- Cleansing and detoxification recommendation
- Yoga Postures, Meditation and Breathing techniques specific to your needs
- Special oil recommendation for Abhyanga
- Herbal supplement suggestions
- Email and Phone support
Follow up Consultation:
Duration: 45 minutes
Once you’ve had your initial consultation and started on initial Lifestyle recommendations, it’s time to check-in with your Arpita for follow-up Appointment. We recommend that you should have follow-up sessions every quarter. During this visit Arpita will review the changes that you experienced since your last consultation and make appropriate seasonal adjustments. You can buy individual follow-up session or package of four follow-up sessions.

I have been practicing yoga for years, but wasn’t until I met Arpita that learned there was the sister science of Ayurveda. Because of the amazing transformation I had experienced through my yoga practice, I knew that I had much to gain from learning about the complementary dietary and lifestyle side. I soon set up an appointment with Arpita where she took inventory of my outward physical state which provided us both with a suprisingly accurate evaluation of my internal balance. She explained the complex concepts in ways that I could understand and provided me with key tips to begin restoring balance into my body through an Ayurvedic routine. The solutions were simple, yet very different than the Western approaches I was used to. After a short time of following my prescribed routine, I began noticing that my physical and emotional state remained much more calm and predictable. My interaction with Arpita has been quite enlightening. I learnt about Ayurvedic consultations from Divine center of Yoga where I used to take yoga classes.
